Kurloz is manipulative, possessive, dishonest, and very occasionally prone to intense anger and cruelty. He uses slurs in his daily vocabulary even as endearments (see "Kittybitch" or "Mother fucker") or as positive descriptors ("Bitchin", "swill"). He is both sadistic and masochistic, not above harming others or himself, notable instances of the latter being his self imposed muting in his Canon wherein he bit out his own tongue and stitched his mouth shut, and where he's done only the latter in Games. He has a past history of abuse and neglect both parental and otherwise, and a very strange obsessive relationship with his brother (to reflect a similar relationship with his ancestor/descendant in canon). There are instances of police brutality, extreme violence, and brainwashing in his history.
